Saturday post.. a Birthday card

Hi Everyone, I am so pleased  that it is Saturday again,  after doing my chores today I plan to sit down and craft, craft and craft!

But for now, I would like to share with you a birthday card that I made for a female family member who's birthday was  last week. I used all the items from my stash, I am still trying to use up what I have before buying more items.(except CD's which are a a fantastic price). I used some trim to frame the picture and some papers and  shimmers in the background to match the colours. After I made up the 3D topper, I put  some fine clear glitter on places to give  it some  sparkle.

Vintage Heartfelt Designs Feather Challenge, November 15

For the month of November, Vintage Heartfelt Designs  have 4 team members creating a hang tag for a weekly posting. This is my week November 15th.

I have made a 8x8 hang tag using the theme of fall and the challenge is feathers

Christmas is for Kids - Special Needs Children Blog Hop for 6th November 2nd day

We have all donated Christmas banners for these special kids in hospital, ages from newborn to 21, who reside at Pediatric Specialty Care (www.pediatricspecialty.com) a group home for medically - fragile, technologically-dependent children in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. 


I have made a banner from recycled cards (doing my bit for the environment at the same time) which I have embellished myself, with glitter, gems, white flowersoft for the snow, flowers and used gold ribbon to put it all together. I have used the theme of snow globes, which really could be used during any winter holiday time as a banner.

What a sunset.....

Hi Everyone,
Just a little picture of thees sunset photos which I took last week, what a sunset! (They would look good on acetate don't you think). I must try it and see.

Sorry for not posting anything for a while, have had problems with my computer and thought I would have everything checked out as my email address was hacked into by a Spam company, actually by the look of it the whole of that provider was hacked into... makes you think hey!

Anyway on a lighter note, I am off to a wedding on Saturday and hope to be doing some crafting over the weekend so will be posting some items on here for everyone to see.

Autumn tag design for Vintage Heartfelt Design

Hi everyone,

I am trying to type up this post with my Lulu belle insisting that she sit on my lap in front of the screen!!

I have designed this autumn tag for Vintage Heartfelt Designs for our October Challenge. I thought I would try this one using my computer Serif  Craft artist,  great fun trying out all the little gadgets, like shades, blending any colours!

Here is my card for this hop 

 I used items in my craft stash to make this card, the base card was from a card kit that I got in May this year, the image is from a CD from Johanna Sheen which I have sprayed glitter over from the tin. I used liquid pearls on the edges and also in the centre of the flowers. I just loved the colours and the lovely ribbon which is edged with gold.

 The back of the card I decorated with a round card and frame and then embellished it with the flowers and liquid pearls.

As you can see this card is one of the tent cards, took me ages to work it out but hey presto, I love them now and find that they are the best!

Breast Cancer Awareness blog candy draw Winner

Breast Cancer awareness blog hop 1st Oct

I know that each and everyone of us has been touched by someone with cancer or has had it themselves. Please invite your family and friends to participate in the hop with us. I made this card from simple pink card, pink ribbon and some pick and white flowers, gems to embellish the card. I used a Lilly of the Valley die cut image, which I thought was just the right one, as memories was my verse and who else would have the best memory.... an elephant ! and how sweet it is blowing bubbles. I used backing paper from a free paper pad in a crafting magazine and a Martha Stewart paper punch to decorate the pink card underneath the ribbon row of breast cancer awareness bows.
