A 60th Birthday card

Morning everyone, I have been having so much trouble with Blogger these last few days, keeps coming up with errors and then not posting my posts etc..Grrrr.

Anyhow, I took time out yesterday to make another birthday card for a 60th birthday. I used plain light pink card for the mat and gitter card and the other bits of paper from my card stash, flowers and gems are from Wild Orchid Crafts . The lilly and pink and white daisy like flowers are from my craft stash as was the gathered ribbon and lace which I colour co-ordinated with my promarkers. I made the 60 from gems onto a piece of clear plastic and secured it with a little tag onto the gattered ribbon so no glue is showing.  I put fine glitter on to the ladies hair and on her dress- image from a Hunkydory card kit.

Inside is decorated with pink and glitter card - simple.

Thanks for stopping by, enjoy your day.

Sorry for being a bit late in posting this, my dog walking took longer than I thought!

I have two scrapbook pages which I submitted and would like to share them with you, but before I do, please pop over to ,
http://creationsbygillm.blogspot.com/2011/07/cbgm-blog-sketch-challenge-11-summer.html
and check out the other Design Team's creations and give the challenge a go..
All the papers and embellishments are from my craft cupboard and photos. The papers for the Maldives page are Hot of the Press A4 pages and the tags are ordinary postage tags. The poppy and papers are Anna Griffin and the flower is 3D in parts.

I would like to thank Gill from Creations by Gill M for the chance to share these with you today and also show you that making scrap pages don't have to be difficult or stressful.

My craft area .... show and tell!!!

Hi Everyone,

I am noticing that alot of bloggers are showing off their work areas, and they all the same.,... so much stash in one place LOL.

This is my craft area in my lounge.  I have all my stash hidden behind the material blind that my cousin kindly made for me, she is a wizzard on the machine and makes these and curtains for a living. I got my furniture and storage from Ikea, actually got the idea from another crafter along the way. I just could not have all my stash on show as it's part of the lounge, so I can now roll down the blind when I am not using it or having people around.

I have sorted out these cubby holes since taking this photo and labled up what lives where also eaten all the sweets stored in one!! (LOL)
Now you can see why I am using up my stash instead of buying new, as space is really limited!!

Storage is nicely covered up and looks great. I need to re-cover my typist chair in the spotty material or do a cushion to fit in. (not to say it stays this way!)

So its off to the corner of the room with a cuppa tea and craft time today.

Have a great day and enjoy it.

Happy fourth of JULY to all my American followers and America.

Hi Everyone,

Happy 4th of July to all my American friends and followers, I hope the summer weather is good to you and your celebrations are going well. Fireworks and food..... great fun!  Happy birthday to my Brother who is having a birthday dinner 9000 miles away from where I am, will be thinking of you Marc

I don't have a card as yet as I have a very sore neck, shoulder and arm which seems to either be a pulled muscle or I slept wrong, it keeps going into spasms when I move. So I am doing very little at the moment, I hope that later I can get to do a card and now that I am not able to physically make one .... I want to - strange that feeling.

Anyway enjoy your lovely days wherever you are .
:)

If you did not start at Creations by Gillm blog, please click here and work your way through the other lovely blogs in this hop. Gill http://creationsbygillm.blogspot.com/
The blog before me was Alethea http://lilodesigns.blogspot.com/

I have made some cards of cause they are all in Pink! -  take a look.

I have made these cards using items from my craft room, the items were all things I have had for a very long time and some things I just did not know what to do with, like the strawberries! I have used pro markers to colour in the frames on the white areas to give it a bit more depth. The flowers are made using ribbon roses and paper flat flowers or paper flowers stacked on top of each other. Pink gems, liquid pearl, lace and other bits and pieces from different kits. These blog hops are great for using up items that you have giving you space to fill at a later date with more craft stuff.....

Now please click on the next stage of the blog and follow through.

Happy Birthday Gill, have a wonderful day.

Watching you at the window...

Oh I do love animal prints, this one is from a Joanna Sheen CD with a little glitter on the vines creeping up the shutters... It reminds me of my little Yorkie looking out the window at everything and everyone passing. I used card stock, backing papers from my stash of printed papers and card and the greeting is from my Polka doodles  Double sprinkles of Kraft CD . I found this piece of lace in my sewing box, must have been my Mothers as I have never bought this one.. so on went my liquid pearl dots in pink. I made a few of the flowers using paper ready made daisy like flowers, just folding them in half and a quarter to make a double flower.  I used my Promarkers to go round the edges of my paper to give it a bit of a shadow and a faux mat a layer..

Thanks for looking.

A card for a few challenges...

Hi Everyone I made this card for a few challenges that I have been meaning to enter for a while, so here it is....

I used backing papers, flowers and ribbon from my craft stash and an image from my Polkadoodles double sprinkles of Kraft CD which were coloured in using Promarkers. The words are from a transfer I got in a scrapbooking kit a few years ago. Its so nice to find a use for items that you have had for a while. I punched the leaves from a hand punch and used a die through my cuttlebug to cut my image giving it a nice oblong size. I also used pink little gems and a large clear gem on the centre of the ribbon. The card stock was also from a kit which had already been die cut.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Southern Girls Challenge - Anything goes.

Charisma Cardz Challenge - Pink and Green.

Totally Pater Crafts Challenge 71 - Die cuts and punches

Thanks for looking.

Winter Wonderland Christmas flower Challenge

http://christmasblogchallenge.blogspot.com/2011/06/christmas-flowers.html

Morning Everyone and a Happy Sunday to you all. Even though it is a dull and wet day, we really need the rain and its a good excuse to spend the day crafting.

I have collected so much christmas stash that I have decided that this year I will use my current stash up before buying anymore and that is a challenge on its own, the not buying bit I mean! As I am unemployed at the moment I have to turn my pennies over a few times and justify my spend so this is a great way to keep up with my crafting without feeling pinched. (its a good things most of us are hoarders as its come in handy I can tell you).

Enough of that and onto my challenge.

I used a dark cream card  in a 8x8 size, some cream glitter card and some backing papers from about 2 Christmas's ago, the flowered background, and the other is the actual flower which I cut out and 3D, I put a little red glitter on the petals as I believe Christmas cards need glitter to bring them alive! I also used on the corners my Martha Stewart snowflake corner stamp with some red gems and bits inside the snowflakes.

Now back to crafting!
